Hi, I'm Elizabeth Morse, creator of Mis En Place and your food and garden consultant. I'm an Advanced Master Gardener, private chef, wine professional and writer. I love growing things and getting folks excited about nourishing themselves with plants. I hold a degree in Sociology from Indiana University, but my passion is teaching others about the importance of growing what you eat. I've been actively gardening since 1996.
A Hoosier entrepreneur & self-taught chef, I co-owned Corner Wine Bar in Indianapolis for nearly 20 years. CWB was one of Indy’s landmark restaurants and THE oldest wine bar in the State. I created seasonal menus and wine programs, including a popular tasting series. After selling CWB in 2018, I began concentrating on the parts of the restaurant industry that I love: growing food, cooking it and gathering.
Mis En Place pays special attention to the details of every project to ensure the complete satisfaction of clients. My goal is to enhance your life through food, garden and gatherings. Beautify your whole world with a little help from a food and garden consultant.
I specialize in creating productive gardens for my clients (garden consults), showing them how to use fresh foods (private chef & cooking classes) and enjoying the art of gathering around meals (events). My ultimate goal is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the end result of your project.
